Create New WP with New Host and Same Domain [ WP.org]

    Hi,
    Hoping someone could help me with this headache.

    I currently have a hosting account that holds my wordpress.org website (Jetservers) in which my domain is pointed to. I just signed up with another hosting provider and have yet to point my domain to the the new provider (HostGator) because I want to create a place to test and then redirect my domain to a new wordpress website. But when I install wordpress in my HostGator CPanel , wordpress brings me back to my old website and I can’t find a way to create a new website with my new hosting provider. Does this make sense? Anybody know what to do?

    It appears you are in the wrong forum.
    These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only.

    With a WordPress.org site, you are running your own installation of WordPress that you are responsible for maintaining.

    We don’t work with CPanel here. :)

    You’ll want to visit the WordPress.org community for assistance.

    If you don’t already have one, you will need to create a free WordPress.org account to post there. You may register here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/register.php

    Be sure to provide them with your site URL and as much information as possible.

    I hope you find a quick resolution.
