create page in menu that points to a blog category as static home page

  Trying to set a static home page which will display the contents of a specific blog category. I know how to create a page and set it as static home page, I know how to create a blog. I know how to create a custom menu using pages, posts, or post categories. But can’t seem to find a good way to set static home page that is a blog category.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  One quick question.

  It sounds like you want to have a home page that only shows post from one specific category and not from any of the others? If that is correct then it sounds like this article is what you need. You can use “shortcodes” to insert eh blog posts you want. You can choose how many and from what category etc.
