create post index for categories

  Does anyone know how you would go about creating a menu similar to the one linked here…

  http://www.wcdish.com/category/restaurant-listings/

  They have the posts filed into categories and then this page is an index of that category. I’m just not sure how to go about creating or designing it.

  Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  I have not created it yet. I’m trying to layout how this can be done before creating all of the content on the site.

  Essentially I want to have a “page” that will categorize computer applications and I would like to put them into child categories (i.e. windows, utility, freeware).

  My goal is to have an index like on the site listed.
