  I am trying to create a site on WordPress.com, but after I complete the third step it does not go forward to completion. Have tried multiple times, rebooted, etc.

  What is the exact URL starting with http:// that you are trying to register please?

  I have abandoned WordPress as the hosting site and found a good host with very efficient registration and no effort to upsell.
