  I own the address f9arts com and is on GoDaddy. Do I have to transfer it?
  Won’t wordpress help me create a site unless I transfer the domain?

  If you have a domain and hosting on Godaddy, you don’t need wordpress.com but you must install wordpress.org which is quit different, https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I’m afraid WordPress.com can’t help you build a site hosted somewhere else. If Godaddy doesn’t offer support you’ll need to register an account at the forum that assists with the software your site uses:

  PS: You could always start again and purchase a plan here and map your new domain to a WordPress.com site.
