    Hi, how are you?

Yes, you can, you can check for more information on the link below:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

    Regards.

Thx guy. I will check that link out. Does PayPal allow debit and credit cards as well btw, because we we wouldn’t just put up a paypal payment terminal.

  • @mikegamecockdevine

If you add the PayPal button to your site people who click that will be able to pay via credit card as well, should they not have a PayPal account.

Thx and so I assume that one can NOT add a pay terminal on WordPress except via PayPal? I ask because we have a service from SunTrust that will put a pay terminal on any website we obtain. Could we put that on WordPress and btw, is there a place on WordPress that lists all the rules for websites that would include this subject and all others or is Q&A this way the only way? I was directed to this method when I went to “Contact us”.

    Hi there!

Maybe this link could help to answer your questions:

Thx guy. Will review and get back to you tomorrow.

Can you send a link to a WordPress business website that has the PayPal payment portal link on it and another that has a different non-PayPal payment portal link if the latter are allowed.

  • Thx and so I assume that one can NOT add a pay terminal on WordPress except via PayPal?

That is correct. We don’t currently offer any integrated eCommerce options on WordPress.com. We are working on that, but it won’t be launched until next year at the soonest.

I ask because we have a service from SunTrust that will put a pay terminal on any website we obtain.

If they offer the option of a plain html link that you can link to a button, you can use it here. But we don’t allow anything containing form, iframe or JavaScript code for security reasons – that kind of code will automatically be deleted if you try to add it.

is there a place on WordPress that lists all the rules for websites that would include this subject and all others

If you are selling services that you provide, or a product that you produce, you can do it here. We also allow affiliate links provided it’s relevant to your content and the main purpose of your site is not to drive traffic to another site via affiliate links. No advertising of any kind is allowed.

You can see our User Guidelines for more information.

I was directed to this method when I went to “Contact us”.

For free sites the public forums is the primary method of support. Only paid users have access to direct email support or live chat support at this time.

Can you send a link to a WordPress business website that has the PayPal payment portal link on it and another that has a different non-PayPal payment portal link if the latter are allowed.

There are tens of millions of active websites on WordPress.com. We do not keep a list of which sites are using PayPal or other payment buttons, and we have no way to even collect that data, so I’m not able to help you with this.

I will read all the links you sent this weekend nut one more question. What are the rules, if any concerning the amount and/or frequency of transactions? Most of ours would be between $500-4000, 5-15 times per month approximately.

  • Unknown's avatar

One more: What is the price to be paid up from for premium? and what do you get extra for super premium?

  • What are the rules, if any concerning the amount and/or frequency of transactions?

As I said, we don’t have any eCommerce options at present, so there is no way to do any commercial transactions via a WordPress.com site. If you have a PayPal button the transactions are being handled by them, not by us. It is not possible for us to place any kind of limit on transactions you do via another provider, and there is no reason for us to try and do that either.

What is the price to be paid up from for premium? and what do you get extra for super premium?

The Premium Plan costs $99 a year, and we have a Business plan that costs $299 a year. You can find information on our plans here:

Previous replies advised we could have a PayPal button on the site, which would take PayPal, debit and credit cards. How do we get the PayPal button on the WordPress site?

  • The link to the page with instructions was provided to you in the first reply in this thread:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

Please note we only support the basic buttons. If you try to add any of the button customization options PayPal offers, your button won’t work here.

  • Unknown's avatar

Yes, I got it the first time but its not clear. It appears that we can get the
PayPal PAY NOW button and that it can include debit and credit cards in addition to PayPal. We would NOT get the website unless people can pay via debit or credit card. It appears that the PayPal button WILL allow payment by debit and credit card. Am I right?

  • It appears that the PayPal button WILL allow payment by debit and credit card. Am I right?

That you will need to check with PayPal. It’s their button. They will best be able to tell you exactly how it works. I can help you with adding the button to your site but the actual button is in PayPal’s control.

  • Unknown's avatar

Tank you and LAST question. I swear….smile. Do you have to give your credit card number and/or pay WordPress, BEFORE you set the PayPal button and can see if it allows for debit and credit card payments to be received?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Thank, not tank….smile

  • We don’t collect any payment info at all if someone uses a PayPal button. It is completely between you, the buyer, and PayPal.

When someone clicks the Buy Now button it will open the PayPal website where the user will either need to log into their PayPal account or provide card details, but they’re providing that to PayPal, not to us, and we won’t have any record at all of the transaction.

The only time we collect payment info is if you buy an upgrade for your site directly from us.
