create your own .jpg/.gif border ads?
-
From an html illiterate:
I recently filmed a youtube video. Several local artists/businesses participated in the video, and I’d like to create a simple ad for them on my website.
Specifically, I’d like to design a webpage with the youtube video embedded in the middle, and fill the left & right borders with smalll, simple .jpg/.gif ads for local artists/businesses that link to their websites.
Please respond with “how to” and template recommendations.
Thanks so much!

what about a table?
<table> <tr> <td>myjpg</td><td colspan="4">myvideo</td><td>myjpg</td> </tr> <tr> <td>myjpg</td><td>myjpg</td> </tr> <tr> <td>myjpg</td><td>myjpg</td> </tr> <tr> <td>myjpg</td><td>myjpg</td> </tr> </table>This produces a table ready to accomodate 4 jpgs on each side and a video in the middle.
Choose a template which accomodates the width you need (sum of the widths); here is a reference for the max width allowed for each theme: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
