Created a copy of a previous WP blog, now I can't admin it.

I had an internal WP blog for a previous employer that I copied to a new WP blog so I could keep a copy for myself. Now I can access the new version but have no admin rights and it seems my username is no longer connected to either.

Hi,
Now I can access the new version but have no admin rights and it seems my username is no longer connected to either.
So you can log into the site, but have no user role? Are you referring to WordPress.com sites?

These are both .com sites. The original private version I can’t login to at all but that doesn’t affect me. The password is invalid there.
I can access the copy version with my other WP account but only as a user. I can read and comment. I can’t create or edit content. I really wonder if my old work account got kicked off both blogs somehow.

My old username/password (dpwork) that I created the account with no longer works. I’m using my secondary account here. I changed my password for that account after I copied over my blog. Now WP doesn’t accept the new password for either original or copied blog. Since the original was set to private, I can’t see it at all. I never set the copy to private so at least I can see it, but not edit.
The copied blog is https://dr2site.wordpress.com/
