Hello, I meant to create a site using wahroongadental.wordpress.org but instead created a free wahroongadental.wordpress.com account? If I close the wahroongadental.wordpress.com account will it affect the wahroongadental.com.au site?

That is completely impossible. WordPress.org is not a hosting platform like WordPress.com. It’s the website where the WordPress community collaborates on the open source WordPress software, and there is no way at all to register your own subdomain on that website. You can register a username account on WordPress.org, but such an account can only be used to post in the forums over there, or to contribute to the software yourself.
I think you mean you want to create a website using the WordPress.org software at another host, correct?
In that case, such a website would have absolutely nothing to do with either your WordPress.com site or WordPress.com username account, and you can delete both the WordPress.com site and account without it having any effect on any WordPress website you have hosted elsewhere.
You can close your WordPress.com account from the account settings page.
