Created static page but home page still there

  I have created a static page on my site, however, the Home page still remains as my front page – it never disappeared and now whenever you click on my static page “Welcome to Diet and Disease” both the home page and welcome page are highlighted.

  The thing is I dont have a home page – cant seem to find it anywhere! How do i get rid of the “home” page and just have the welcome page?

  The home page is setup by default on many WordPress.com themes. To get around it, you can create a custom menu to replace the one that is built in:
