Creating a backup website

  Current site is on wordpress – leaving to use another platform for main site, but want to keep the contents of the old site accessible somewhere in case we want to refer to old posts.

  I am not a coder or technically minded – how do we do this? If we just take a full backup, and then whack it into a new wordpress, is there a way of keeping this offline?

  Could you please provide a link to your website? I don’t see a WordPress.com website associated with your account.

  You can definitely have a free website on WordPress.com set to private for reference purposes, that way only you will be able to access it.

  If you prefer information to be stored locally on your computer that can be done using software such as XAMPP: https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html
