Got the gallery working… again one has to play with saving it… and then the disability functions… or whatever… and then there it is responding… Not sure which variation works… but I can find it again! Very cool Widget… especially if there’s a theme with larger sidebar… will experiment wit that.

something odd started happening… when experimenting with other themes… when I changed the color pallette… it shifted to the new colors… but then shifted back in about a second. THis happened in several themes.

Sunspot’s pretty good – with the 2 sidebars… but can we get the word SOUNDARTUS to fit?… can one adjust size of type as well as font and style? – or make the sidebar a little bigger. WOulpd like to enlargen the category names as well if poss…

Okay – getting a lot done – know how to get the widgets working… categories… submenus… BUT there’s something else… Sidebars seem to not appear on mobile devices… which makes the Introductory Sticky post idea imperative… these are the home bases for these projects… and on a mobile there’d be nothing… SO how to get this to happen? A permanent upfront post..? I tried the forward date (2025!) but it made ‘scheduled’… ?

Well – I found a way! – I made the blogs a subcategory… so the only post (basically) – is the Intro to the book… It means a lot of posts to reorganize. What do you think?
Is it possible to control people making blog comments here and driving it lower? – prevent comments and on this post tell them to go to the Blogroll? — thanks.

I found it was easy to BULK add posts to a category… is it possible to BILK remove from a category? – would save a lot of time! – thanks.
Tales and Musical Forest are mostly done… for now. But Name That Opus has a lot of posts to organize… (remove from category, etc.)…

I’m afraid it isn’t possible to bulk remove posts from a specific category. When you bulk edit items, you can only add categories.
Sidebars seem to not appear on mobile devices…
The left-hand side widgets should appear at the top of the screen behind the “Menu” toggle. The right-hand widgets will appear at the bottom of the post. However, currently, you have infinite scroll enabled so it’s hard to get to the bottom of the posts. If you’d like, you can disable that here (under “To infinity and beyond”):

Yep – any date in the future will turn into a scheduled post.

I think the best way to accomplish this would be the following:
1. Create a new page for Tales of the Ocean City (as an example)
2. Enter your intro content directly into that page with any images you want displayed as an intro
3. Use the Display Post shortcode shown here to display all posts tagged “Tales of the Ocean City” underneath the intro:
So, the intro wouldn’t actually be a post. Does that make sense? We would need to adjust the widgets to only be displayed on the page Tales of the Ocean City that we created in step 1.

Also – shortcode to make music widget ‘dark’ (posted link above)…
The method I accomplished is okay… but would rather have the blog flowing underneath!

Yep! The end result would look something like this:
To create this example, I built a new page like normal. Within that page, I typed in the intro text that I wanted to introduce the book. Then, I put in a code that will load the pages I want.
Here’s what that would look like when you’re building the page:
For the code, you could use something like this:
[display-posts include_excerpt="true" category="blogs-for-toc"]That would display all posts in the “blogs-for-toc” category. You would just need to grab the slug for each category here:

So, the next page you create (for another book) would have a different intro and a different category=”” portion. Does that help to clarify?

I believe the issue is that the store is trying to show up twice on the front page (soundartus.com). It’s a widget on your sidebar and in the post I mentioned above that appears on your homepage. Can you remove the widget here?

OKAY – here’s a weird test case… the store does not work on the main page http://www.soundartus.com – — but it does work in this ‘category’ post.

Okay – I went in and attached the store to the other category main intro posts… and it worked in them. So it’s down to Just the one on the main page! — what is different about it?

Okay so I did more tests. I took all the stores out and went back to the sidebar text widget. — And the store works in every page except the main page and –Name That Opus! (http://soundartus.com/category/name-that-opus/) … I thought… what do they have in common… the Soundcloud…. so I removed… and NO LUCK (and now the cloudsound is gone)… no biggie there… But why does the store not work on these 2 pages? – another thing they have in common is that they are longer…? that can;t be it. Any ideas?

OKAY- just had a HUGE problem. The guy deom excid said – since the problem is only on a couple pages it must be related to posts… and to change them to ‘draft status’ one by one to see what happens. An insane suggestion… but I tried it with the Name That Opus posts… to no effect. However, when I saw that, I ‘undrafted’ them… and the result was that I inadverdently sent out about 40 posts all at once!
I am going nuts. I hope I didn’t ruin my people list. There are some very professional people on there who won’t appreciate this. I sent out an apology. But that leads to another problem. HAVE MY followers been translated or not?

SO – what could be causing these two pages – especially the main page – to not function? It has obviously been removed and replaced a few times… it’s the same when on a post or sidebar…?
