creating a custom form

I am trying to Create a New Form
the support page begins with…‘First, click the “Add a custom form” media button located directly under the title of your post or page. It looks like this:’
however, this button does not exist.
Where to now?

Load up a new post –

Or a new page –
https://lastnode.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=page
Do you see the Add Contact Form button?
You may have been using –
And that screen currently does not contain an Add Contact Form button. (I am not sure if that is a feature or a bug – someone else will have to confirm! :)

What is the link to the Support page where you are seeing this?
Where are you trying to add it from: the New Dash post editor (blue background) or in the Post Editor of your site’s Dashboard?

it looks like i was using
https://wordpress.com/post/
which doesn’t have the Add Contact Form button.
I will now try using the ‘lastnode’ page which does have the button.

Er, lastnode accidentally directed you to his Dashboard which will bring up a notice that you don’t have access. The link to your New Post in your site dashboard is
