Creating a E-commerce Website

  Is it possible to create a full e-commerce website on WordPress? I am trying to create a portal that will allow users to login and create their profiles. Have a payment interface. Have an interface where users can upload their items for sale. Is that capability possible using WP? Is there a theme which has that capability?

  Hi there. This is not possible on WordPress.com. For this type of site you’ll need to look at the self-hosted option using WordPress.org:

  http://wordpress.org/hosting/

  The only e-commerce option here is the business upgrade bundle which will enable you to sell your own products, but other users won’t be able to create accounts on your site. http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/
