Creating a free site then transferring a domain name to WordPress

    My domain name was purchased through GoDaddy and will remain locked until 60 days. In the meantime, will I be able to set up a free WordPress site then after 60 days, I can transfer my domain name to my WordPress site then purchase hosting? Please let me know what the process is. I would like to start setting something up during the 60 day wait period so when it comes, I can have most everything ready to make it official as an online store.

    By all means build a free site with a .wordpress.com subdomain. You can transfer the domain to that site by upgrading it to a paid plan later. Or with a paid plan you could map your domain to a WordPress.com site immediately.
