  Can i create my new website in wordpress before mapping my current wordpress blog to it? If so, how could I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes. To change blog visibility on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
