Creating a Membership site

  Hello! I want to create a membership site through wordpress. What plugins should I use? How do I set this up?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @journalinguist,

  You can’t install your own plugins on a WordPress.com site. For that you would need a self hosted WordPress.org site. I haven’t created a membership site yet, so I’m not quite sure which plugins would be good for this. But if you ask this in the WordPress.org forum, I’m sure you’ll get plenty of tips.

  However, a first step for creating a self hosted WordPress.org site, is to get hosting. Check out WordPress.org’s own reccommendations here. I’m using Dreamhost, since it’s specialized on WordPress, and it’s so easy to deal with.
