Creating a neat page with photo links
-
Hi
I’m creating a recipes page on my blog to feature pictures of meals people can click on to take them to the relevant recipe post on my blog. I don’t really know the best way to do this to make it look nice and neat with the photos lined up a little and not all over the page as is current. Any tips? At the moment I’m simply adding the photo to the page via ‘add media’ then making sure in its settings it links to the post when clicked on. But doing it this way doesn’t seem to allow me to place the pic on the page in a uniform manner. I will be adding more recipes in time so really need to be able to just add one from time to time. Many thanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment
The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -
Thanks but I’m only using a small amount of text at the top of the page, the rest of the page is all images so I’m not sure if this advice applies. I just want to create a nice looking page of photographs that you can click on to take you to the relevant post. maybe a gallery…?
