creating a new blog – I did it backwards and now I've lost the use of the name
-
Hello,
I wanted to create a new blog completely unrelated to my existing blog, but I learned too late that I should have created it using an entirely new account (with a different email address and user name). YIKES. (existing account/blog: http://scottiechronicles.com).
When I went to create a new one, of course the name was taken. (Duh, it’s me.) How can I salvage the name I created for new one?
Can I transfer it to a newly created account? If so, how can create a new account if I can’t use the blog name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Don’t worry. You can still salvage this. Same thing happened to me.
Create a new account (without creating a new blog). Pick a completely random username, as you’re going to discard it at the end.
Then log in to your current account, and transfer the new blog to the account you just created: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account
Once you’ve confirmed the transfer, log back in to the new account. The blog should now appear in that account’s dashboard. Now you should be able to change that account’s username to one that matches the URL: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-username
