Creating a New Blog with the Same URL

I want to revamp my social presence on WordPress. Can I create a new blog URL with the same URL of my current blog, if I rename the URL of my current blog?
I basically want to retain my URL but wipe the slate clean on my blog without having to delete every single old post I made in the past.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you want a fresh start on your WordPress.com site, you can delete all of your content and keep your current WordPress.com URL.
If you are sure you want to empty your site, here are instructions for doing so:

Does that mean WordPress doesn’t release URLs when blogs URLs are renamed? A part of me would like to archive my old blog under a different name.

Since you want to keep your current WordPress.com address, one suggestion would be to export your current site and import it into a separate, new blog.
Here are helpful guides for exporting and importing your site:
Once you have exported and then imported to a new site, you could then empty your site, inhonoredglory.wordpress.com, and start fresh.
