Creating a new site using a name/url reserved by original account

  Hi! I’m looking to create another WordPress site through the same email as my current account, and eventually hoping to link the two sites together. Basically, I’m looking to create a site for my business, and I already have a personal blog on WordPress. The problem that I am facing is that when I try to create a new site, the name I wish to register says that it’s reserved. I’m assuming that I have reserved it on my original WordPress site…but I’m not entirely sure. If so, is there a way to un-reserve a name? If someone could help me out, that would be great. Thank you!

  Hi there. What is the address you want to register?

  The only way a site is reserved is if someone registered the matching username for that site. If so, only the person who has that username will be able to register that site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/#additional-info
