Creating a new website for a restaurant

Hello! I already own a domain (actually 2) and would like to use wordpress to build out my website. Should I transfer the domain or map it? Will either one result in wordpress being added to my domain name? I would like to keep it as-is. Thanks!

As you already own a domain you have two choices at the moment either you should transfer or connect.
In transferring the domain the registration of the domain name will move to WordPress.com. However, in connecting the domain you should use WordPress.com to host your site without transferring the registration from the previous registration.
