Creating a new WordPress website/same hosting

Hi everyone,
I would like to create a new WordPress Website with a new Theme without taking the existing WordPress website down. Just the time it would take to build the new website and then connect the new one and disconnect the old one ‘invisibly’. What would be the basic rules to follow?

Yes, you can build the site now, on a free site address and connect the domain later when your website is ready.
To add a free site address to the account, go to My Sites – Domains – Add and choose the free .wordpress.com option.
