Creating a page that uses an image that takes up the whole page
-
Hello I am building a new wordpress site and I want to make a splash page that takes up the whole screen. I want it to be just an image with no logo or menu bar. The whole screen should be clickable and will redirect you to the homepage without having to click a button. (just like this website http://www.brrch.com) I could setup a new page and custom code it or use some sort of splash page plugin. But most of the plugins use a button feature.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hi there,
If you are building the site here (hosted by WordPress.com), you will be limited to the themes available, unless you’re on a Business plan? Even just creating a separate front-page to redirect to your site would involve uploading a custom / suitable premium theme, or a plugin (all of which require a Business plan).
I wonder if you are perhaps referring to a self-hosted WordPress installation, where you can create custom themes, modify existing themes, and add plugins from your own installation?
If so, your best bet would be to head to the WordPress.org forums, as this forum is for websites hosted directly at WordPress.com.
Here’s a direct link to the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
This link explains more about the differences between the two: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you did intend to make these site modifications on WordPress.com and you have a Business plan, you can get some coding support here in the forums, however you would also have access to live chat for immediate support.
Hope this helps?

@themangomarket, if you are talking about a self-hosted site, there is a Baskerville theme support forum at WordPress.org where you can post for help.
Make sure and post a link to the site, if you can, so that the person helping you can see and work out the CSS for you.
