Creating a paid online quiz

    Looking to create a paid online quiz.
    1. First of all, I just registered with GoDaddy for my domains, and on the 1 month free trial for the website builder. Is it better to build the website there or here?
    2. Regardless of #1, I’m looking to build an online quiz in which users need to spend about 5 mins going through a series of questions, to then be given the final result, but need to ‘Buy the Detailed response’. Is this possible with WP Quiz Pro?

    Hi there,

    We do not have paid quiz functionality built in on WordPress.com so something like you are describing would require adding a 3rd party plugin, which is possible either here or on GoDaddy.

    I’m not familiar with paid quizzes, so we would not be able to help with finding a plugin, but I would not suggest WP Quiz Pro since I see it has not been updated for some time: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-pro-quiz/

    With that in mind, you may wish to search for a different quiz plugin to use instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/quiz/

    Is it better to build the website there or here?

    That is a more difficult question to answer. GoDaddy tends to be much more DIY in nature and they do not offer WordPress site help directly (it is just one of many platforms they host) so I tend to recommend that route only if you are an experienced WordPress user or a designer/developer.

    On WordPress.com you would have the same options (to upload plugins and/or themes) to expand the functionality and design options of your site, but to do so will require our Business Plan. We do not allow plugin on free sites or sites at lower plan levels.

    On the plus side, WordPress is all we do here, and your Business Plan would include priority email and 24/7 live chat support, so you would not need to wait for help here in our forums. We also handle the software updates, backups, and security hardening that you would need to manage for yourself at a traditional “web host” like that.
