Creating a PDF certificate for wordpress users

Hi all, I wondered if anyone out there could suggest ways of achieving the following.
We run a charity, a rainforest charity, and we are relaunching the website using wordpress (nearly done)
We want to do away with the old paper certificates that are sent out to people who donate money as it cost extra money for the paper certificate to be created, printed and sent and more importantly its a waste of paper and ink.
We’d like to create a PDF on the fly with the persons name on it and the donation in a standard PDF certificate format and then email it to them once their donation form is completed.
Does anyone know how we could do that? Interested in your thoughts.

That would require “forms” and forms are not allowed here at wordpress.COM due to security concerns. Since you did not provide a link to your wordpress.com blog, I cannot tell for sure if you are actually hosted here or self-hosted using the software from downloaded from wordpress.ORG. The two are very different and what is not allowed here is allowed with the .ORG software.
For a wordpress.COM blog, you might be able to find an online “forms” service that will host the form and then send it to you via email. You could then link to the form on the blog.

the user name I wasn’t taken to a wp.com blog… -

If the blog is self-hosted, then you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .
