Creating a Plugin that uses WP functions
-
I’ve created an unconventional plugin.
When I say unconventional it doesn’t use the standard use of the plugin directory. I modified WordPress files to make this plugin work.
How do I go about making a plugin (with files in the plugin directory) that change the way a current funciton in WordPress works?
What my plugin does is it looks for World of Warcraft items in the news post, and then highlights them in purple.
Thanks,

We cannot not use plugins on wordpress.com blogs http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/10/27/can-i-upload-my-own-plugins/
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/22/where-is-my-plugins-tab/And this is a forum for providing support only to those with wordpress.com free hosted multi-user blogs. We cannot edit our html or php here as we work on a multiuser platform.
http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/09/27/edit-my-templates/If you have downloaded software from wordpress.org then know that it is different from ours. The support forum for you would then be here http://wordpress.org/support
