Creating a private members-only section on a WordPress.com website?
-
Hi there,
I’m interested in funding a website through Patreon.com. Because Patreon.com suggests special access for people funding me, I’m interested in the idea of a members-only section on a paid WordPress.com website. Is this possible on any of the WordPress.com pricing plans?
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
You can create a membership system with WordPress.com. We have a few options-
1. You can create a members-only area where users have to signup and login to access the content you’re keeping away from the general public.
You’ll need to create the main website (site A) using your custom domain and another website using the sub-domain (site B). Site B will be the membership site and will be locked from general access.
Here are the setup instructions for this method:

To install plugins on WordPress.com websites, you’ll need to upgrade to WordPress.com Business Plans.
