  Can I set up a draft website on WordPress before transferring to my host?

  Hi,

  Yes, you may. For example, create a site, perhaps choosing the private privacy option, and then transfer it to a self-hosted site when you are ready to. Privacy options for a WordPress.com site are the following: Public, Hidden, Private. See the Privacy Settings support page for more information on these options.
