Creating a Slideshow from Media Library files
-
I have already uploaded a number of pictures into the Media Library.
I want to pull some of those images together into a Slideshow, however the Help only shows me how to create a slideshow from new images, not from those already uploaded into the library.
How do i take images that are currently already in the media library and create a slideshow from some of them?

Currently the slideshow will only display all photos attached to a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

So would this mean that I’d have to upload them a second time? I couldn’t get them from the Media Library where they already sit? I want to make sure i’ve understood this.
Thanks BTW

Yes i did that, but the other questions were a little old and i wondered whether in the meantime it had been fixed.

I do believe that if any changes had been made Staff would have updated the support documentation. Here’s a link I use for anything and everything related to the Gallery > http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/?s=not+the+FAQs

My god this is annoying. I have the same problem. I quickly found a slew of others with the same problem. Hello WordPress?

@titusobrien It’s probably more of an architecture design issue meaning that it’s going to be more expensive to correct this fault / add this feature (depending on your POV) at this stage.
We do have to remember that WordPress is free and we get a lot for our $0 outlay. There’s always going to be extra features we’d like and they (the actual staff that is) do seem to welcome suggestions.
Nice art BTW.
