Creating a specialty menu

I am trying to create a menu that does this in the sidebar.
Topics of Interest (Main title of menu)
DIY (not a link-just a topic header)
—–blog category set as sub-link
—–blog category set as sub-link
Paint Projects (not a link-just a topic header)
—-blog category set as sub-linkI am using the Simply Pro theme which is developed by a third party but they have no valuable help resources. None of the basic menu steps work….ie setting up sub categories (every link appears)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. My site is a .com hosted site. I am logged in now and can view my site from this page.
I purchased my themes from studio press and am hosted through site ground.
I am in the correct forum.
