Creating a staging site

  I have a site with Hubspot that is live. I am moving it over to WordPress.com. When I try to create a new site on WordPress, it asks for for a new domain name. I don’t have a second domain name to use, I just need some temporary URL to use while I transfer everything to WordPress.com, then I’ll point my company URL to WordPress. What should I do at the ‘Select a domain’ page when selecting a new plan?

  I suggest entering literally any domain, but not choosing to register it. Instead, you should choose a free WordPress.com URL, as seen in this screenshot:

  Then, you can choose the proper plan and continue with the migration 😊
