Creating A Table of Contents or List of Categories

  I want my blog to have a Table of Contents or at least a list of categories that readers can use to go to a specific blog post. Can anyone help me create that on my blog site. I am not terribly savvy yet when it comes to figuring out how to do that sort of thing.

  I have been searching for something about the Table of Content without having to be a plugin for the headings in the middle of the post. Can you help me I want to use it for the following post.
