creating a video galery

  Dear happiness engineer

  I am working with videos and would like to create a video gallery where I can showcase my work. The video gallery should look like an image gallery, with the thumbnail and a the title (and more info if possible) of the video below it. BUT there is a difference to the image gallery: my videos are on youtube and thus I want to use these links, rather than having to manage two video libraries. – I see that wordpress.org has the possibility of plugins, which wordpress.com doesn’t have. So how can I create and manage a video gallery and how can I customize it?

  By the way: looking at the Twenty thirteen theme, it looks like it is better suited for displaying galleries, as it doesn’t have side bars. Am I right?

  Can you recommend some good wordpress.com blogs that feature video galleries? To get inspired…

  There is no specific video gallery feature like there is for images, however, there are two great themes that do exactly what you want:
  http://ondemanddemo.wordpress.com/ and http://gigawattdemo.wordpress.com/

  Thank you. I think I will opt for another solution which will take some time: Code a table that suites my purpose of posting one video next to the other and allowing me to put some text below each video thumbnail.

  There are some pages around that show you how to build tables on wordpress.com … let’s see how it goes.
