Creating a webpage- why is everything formatted to blogs?

I am trying to create a webpage, but every theme is designed for bloggers. We are unable to add an imagine where we would like out logo because you can only type text there. We wanted to host on WordPress, but we are having trouble figuring out how to create an actual webpage for an organization. I’m familiar with wordpress that is hosted by self or third party, but new to wordpress hosting. Are we limited to only blog structured themes?
