Creating a website

Hello,
I would like to work on it before deciding if I am comfortable enough with actually building my website on wordpress, but it seems you require a domain name in any case…
Any way to get around that?

Hi Alessandro,
You can select any domain name using free plan which will have ‘wordpress.com’ in it. Once you are comfortable and want to use WordPress.com for your website then you can upgrade to any plan of WordPress.com which allows you to select any Domain name without ‘wordpress.com’ in it.
You also have option to keep your website private when you are learning and experimenting on it.
