Creating a website before moving over domain

  Hello! I have a running website that I would like to switch over to word press. I can’t take it down until the word press website is created. Is there a way to temporarily use a different domain before I bring mine over?

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.
