Creating a WordPress.com site before transferring domain

    I assume I can create a new site before a60-day transfer occurs. What kind of site would this be? Would it show under my domain name already purchased or? a WordPress.com extension

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Hi there – You are correct. You can build a site here without transferring your domain. In that case your site would reside at the free *.wordpress.com URL you’ve selected initially.
