  I bought my domain and WordPress site hosting with UK2.net but believe wordpress.com may be easier to us in creating my first website. What can I do to get going without incurring any further cost please?

  You can start off at WordPress.com with a free site with a .blog or .wordpress.com address but to use your own domain here would entail purchasing a WordPress.com Personal plan or higher to map the domain: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
