Creating a WordPress site that allows using paypal "buy now" buttons

  If I want to sell items on my wordpress site using paypal, what do I need to do? I’d like a “buy now” button and “shopping cart” button. (NOT “donation”)

  Do I need to upgrade my account? Do I need to move it to wordpress.org?
  I just started to put it together on wordpress.com. If I need to make changes, I would like to do so now before I build up the page.

  Is there a good explanation page like the one for paypal donations? I am having trouble getting to the bottom of this.

  You have to move your blog off WordPress.com to WordPress.org and an independent host. THere’s no point making changes here then moving it, as themes and everything are different over at Wp.org. Move it first, then optimize it.

  I prefer to use themes designed for a store front. Check out Elegant Themes They have a ton of very easy to use themes. They aren’t free, but they are much cheaper than the others. $39/year to use all of their themes

  Their support forum has always answered all my questions within an hour or so. I’ve been a subscriber there for about 2 years now.

  If you are going to set up a WordPress.org install then you will have to register a username and password on the top right hand corner of this page http://wordpress.org/ and get all support for your install from http://wordpress.org/support/
