Creating a WordPress site using godaddy

    I created a GoDaddy account but had to transfer my domain. The plan I was following with GoDaddy did not charge extra for WordPress. But now WordPress wants to charge me. How do I sign up for an account

    Hi there! We can only help with sites hosted here at WordPress.com and it sounds like you want to create a WordPress site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) hosted at GoDaddy.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

    I would recommend reaching out to GoDaddy if you want to set up a WordPress site with them. Since they would be hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this problem.
