  I created this domain through godaddy, after creating the domain through them I discovered I couldn’t create the online store that I need for my business and they said I needed to use word press in order to do so. I’m trying to verify if that’s what I actually need and set up that account through word press now.

  It’s important to clarify that there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

  We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting (like GoDaddy).
