Creating an avatar
-
Tried searching, and only found info on “removing” avatars.
My last search found info from Timethief as follows:
-> write post -> upload image -> send image to editor – > copy the entire image code -> presentation -> sidebar widgets – > text widget -> open text widget and paste in the image code – > save changes.Tried this, and ended up with a sidebar widget with my avatar – not what I was looking for (did I do something wrong?)
In the scheme of things, I guess it’s not that important, but now I feel like I’m on a mission, “I MUST find out” :-)
Any help is much appreciate by this newbie!

That was so easy, I feel like I REALLY should have been able to find it myself… :-/ Thanks for taking the time away from members with real problems to help me! :-)

My avatar disappeared today, yet it still shows up in my profile. So what has happened? Now, when I comment on someone’s blog, where my picture did show is now a block with a ? in it.
How can I get the avatar back in? As I said, my picture still shows in my profile.

I had the same thing happen in the comments a couple of times, but it seems cured now. Same with some of my WordPress uploaded images: they vanished, then returned. Try clearing your cache and refreshing the page, and if that doesn’t work I’d try a Feedback because it must be something specific to your back end…uh, so to speak.

In case anybody wanted some easy and nice (and free) avatars to upload/save, go to http://avatars.yahoo.com.
Peace,
