creating an E-Portfolio with WordPress
-
Hi there,
I have 2 problems that I am trying to solve.
1) I have just created a WordPress e-portfolio, with the URL being my name ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff).’ This e-portfolio is for work and business purposes only, for my current and future employers, and is strictly for professional purposes. I already have a WordPress account for my personal beauty blog, with the URL ‘lifeinlipstickbykait.wordpress.com, but I want my e-portfolio to be a separate WordPress account, only for professional postings of my work, resume, etc. Whenever I make a post on the e portfolio it says ‘posted by lifeinlipstickbykait’ (my personal blog name), and I want it to say ‘posted by kaitlyn lakerdas’ (the title of my e portfolio). I’m not sure why it is linking the name of my personal beauty blog, to the posts on my new e-portfolio that I have just created. If possible, I would like to stop this from happening, and have the poster of each of my works say ‘posted by Kaitlyn Lakerdas’ instead.
2) I want to upload all of my posts to the main welcome or ‘home’ page. However, when I created a new blog post, it says it has been created when I click on ‘Blog Posts’ In the edit section when I click ‘My Sites’ however, I can’t find where the posts are actually liked to, to access them from the home page. When I click all 4 tabs on my home page (Home, About, Contact, Blog) the posts can not be found under any of these headings. I want the posts to appear on the home page, the first page that you see when you type in the URL of my e-portfolio, but they don’t show up there, or anywhere. I’m not sure what to do to fix this.
Thank so much,

I just read my post, and underneath it says “the blog i need help with is “lifeinlipstickbykait.wordpress.com.” this isn’t what I need help with, as that is the name of my exiting personal beauty blog. What I need help with is kaitlynlakerdas.wordpress.com – the name of the e-portfolio that I created. How do I disconnect the two WordPress accounts?
