Creating an employee portal

Hi everyone, I am being asked to create an employee portal on our website, where employees have access via their own username/password to access where the HR manager can upload documents that can be reviewed and then confirmed that they have been read by each employee. Does anyone have any plug-in recommendations? Or any other ideas as to how I could incorporate this?

This particular forum is mainly for people with free WordPress.com plans. If you have an upgraded WordPress.com plan (a Business plan?) you should be able to receive more detailed and prompt advice by using the Blue Button for Livechat with a member of staff. https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/

They were no help and just directed me to trying a plug-in, but could not recommend any. Looking for peoples advice from experience?

As the majority of people likely to see this thread won’t be using a Business plan and won’t have access to plugins it is unlikely anyone will be able to offer advice from experience. Perhaps if you try registering an account at the WordPress.org support forum you may find more appropriate help.
