creating an order form

  Hello,

  I’m trying to advertise the sale of a book of poetry and I’d like to put a simple order form on the site for users to fill in, which would then be emailed to me at my work address.

  Is this possible?

  Is this a book that you have written and is an actual book printed on paper?

  It is a book of children’s poetry that I have edited, published, and am selling. I would like to provide an easy way for people to buy it. Can I create an order form? Or do I need to make a ‘contact form’?

  How about a separate page with order info. You could have people put info in the comments section and than have them “held for moderation” so no one else sees them.

  I believe you can than set up your site or page so you are emailed when someone responds.

  …not the easy way, but an option maybe…???…

  Please answer TSP. Are you the author of the book or not? We can only sell items we actually create ourselves in wordpress.com blogs. We cannot sell anything that are not created by others on wordpress.COM blog.

  If and only if you are the author, and not just an editor then you can sell the book. WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce. Forms are stripped out by the software here. What you are left with is a contact form or an unencryted paypal donation button. >

  The contact form here has had a big upgrade and now has a lot of new features, such as the ability to add custom fields and such, so you should be able to customize it for your needs. Once you receive the order, you can email the people back with perhaps a paypal link to pay for the book. Timethief included a link to the support document on the contact form which covers all the new features and how to create your own custom form.
