Creating and accessing email

I thought I’d create and access my custom email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) through Network Solutions, but they are saying it’s going to be through someone else. I don’t understand. I registered my domain through them, but I guess because you’re running my blog (which is the site), you’re in charge.

Here’s the email I got from them:
With regard to your e-mail concern, I have checked the DNS records of your domain name RETAILSEDGE.COM and it does not have MX and CNAME records. Since another hosting company is currently handling the Web site and e-mail services for the domain name. I recommend that you contact the Mail Service Provider or the Web Hosting Company directly for information regarding those services.

    Please advise.
    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

We have a guide to help with adding email with Network Solutions here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-network-solutions-email/

You will need to add the DNS records that you get from Network Solutions to your account with us here:

    https://retailsedge.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=retailsedge.com

    Regarding this:

…another hosting company is currently handling the Web site and e-mail services for the domain name…

WordPress.com does not provide email hosting services, so your email wouldn’t actually be hosted here.

Please let me know if you have any questions about getting your email to work with Network Solutions.

I added the DNS record information yesterday.
I still don’t know where my email is going or if it is working.
Since you don’t provide email hosting services, I signed up for an email account with Netsol, which I thought I could just grab through my gmail address.

Where is my email? How do I access it?
    Thanks.
