Creating and adding a Privacy Policy

I am totally new to blogging. The blog will basically be a review site. We would like to work with affiliates to generate some extra cash. I just learned that I need to add a Privacy Policy. Since we will be using the site to earn money through affiliates are we now considered “commercial”? We will be offering honest reviews for businesses and products we use and of course sending some business to the ones we really like. I am not sure of the difference in Privacy Policies. I would appreciate some clarification and where I can go to create or acquire the appropriate one. Also, a quick “how to” and “where” to post on my site.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks Timethief. :) That link was very helpful in answering a question that came up shortly after I posted this. I wasn’t sure if I was in compliance or not. I certainly don’t want to be a rule breaker. I believe that the sites I would be referencing fall with in the guidelines. I am still not sure about Privacy Policies. There are some “free” templates for non commercial sites. I think I would be able to use one of those, but I am not sure. I am also not clear on how to add the Privacy Policy to my site.

Thanks for all the help :)

  • @reviewsbyledouxs if you’re adding your own privacy policy, you can just create a page called Privacy and put in it what you want.

If you’re asking about our privacy policy, you can find that here:
