Creating Business Website

    Hi, Kevin Farmer here. Say how do I learn about setting up a business website where people join for free and they get their own duplicated website that I create? Are there training videos to show how to do that?

    Hi there – Are you wanting to create your own network of sites? Have you done this before with WordPress, or is this a new thing you’re wanting to try?

    I ask that because inevitably you would need some level of support. I’m curious to know what kind of support you would need as the main site provider, and where the people would turn for support with their duplicate sites? Let us know a bit more detail around your vision and goals if you could please and we’ll see what we can do to help. :)

    This is all new to me so I would need help. I have done some capture page creations and splash pages with a system I use.

    What I am looking to create is a website first that has a video which explains how to generate leads for free with the same system they join here. This page is to have a name and email address and password they create to enter to log into their back office. When they join they will get the same system with their own lead capture page with their own unique link to generate leads for them.

    Once they login to their back office. There will be two videos on the main back office. The first video is to explain to those who join the program for free how the back office works. It will have their lead capture pages link or links, with banners, and text adds to promote this system. The second video will explain how they can choose to upgrade and avoid passing their first two or three first signup to their sponsor. This upgraded system is already created and it cost $10 per month and they get for that $10, unlimited splash page builder, Unlimited auto responder, shrink, track and brand links, and many other tools as well.

    So that is somewhat of what I want to create.

    The video would explain how they can generate free leads after they pass up two or three people up to their sponsor. They have the option not to pass up any leads buy upgrading.
    Also there would have a place to enter a password the can create.

    The back office would look something like this with six additional pages:

    Hi Kevin,

    For what you describe you’ll need a multisite network installation of WordPress. That’s where you have a main site, with a superadmin user who can then create additional sites, each with their own admin user, but where the superadmin also has access, and have control over what is or isn’t allowed on each site in the network.

    It is not possible to host a multisite network on WordPress.com, as WordPress.com itself is already a massive multisite, so in this case we’re not the best provider for what you want to do.

    For advice on what exactly you’ll need to set up a network in a way you want, and for advice on the best hosting provider for that type of setup, please ask the WordPress.org community instead at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. They provide support for the open source version of WordPress, which you’ll be using in this case.

    (You could of course build and host your sites on WordPress.com as well, but then it will be a collection of separate sites under your account, not a true network, and you’ll need to create each of the sites manually – we don’t offer any facility to auto-create sites, or to create duplicate sites off a template.)
