Creating excerpts/article summaries on my home page

  Hello, I am trying to create excerpts of my blog posts on my static home page….so multiple posts are shown in summary format on the home page. I have search for a way to do this and am having trouble figuring this out.

  Can you please help me or direct me to a tutorial? Or do I need a different/premium theme? I will appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.

  Howdy,

  The most sure-fire way of doing this is to add a More Tag to your post. Anything before the more tag would appear on the main page and archive pages, while the full-content will display on the actual post’s page.

  Some themes will display a custom excerpt on the home page, but not all. Newsworthy, your theme, isn’t setup to show a custom except, so the More tag is the way to go with it.
